Introduction
Discount Pal (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Shopify app operated by ShopPal Apps, based in Australia.This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install and use the Discount Pal app through the Shopify platform. Information We Collect
Shopify Store Information
Discount Pal uses Shopify’s OAuth authentication to connect to your store. Through this process, we may collect limited store-related information such as:
- Store name
- Store URL
- Store ID
- Access token required to perform Shopify API requests.

We do not collect personal information outside of Shopify’s authentication process.

App Usage Data
We collect limited, non-personal usage data to operate and improve the app, including:
- Records of products modified through the app App feature usage related to discount campaigns
- Error logs and diagnostic information

This data is used solely to provide, maintain, and improve Discount Pal.

Analytics and Tracking
Discount Pal uses third-party analytics tools to understand usage and improve performance, including:
- Google Analytics
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel

These tools may collect aggregated usage or interaction data. We do not use analytics data to personally identify individual users.

Emails and Communications
We may send emails related to your use of Discount Pal, including product updates, onboarding and setup information, marketing or feature announcements. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails.

Cookies and Sessions
Discount Pal does not set or manage its own cookies. Any cookies or session data used while interacting with the app inside the Shopify admin are managed by Shopify and are governed by Shopify’s own privacy policies.

Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Your data is only accessed by Discount Pal to provide app functionality or by Shopify as required to operate the Shopify platform

Data Storage and Security
Data is stored using Supabase with infrastructure located in Australia. Data is encrypted in transit. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. Discount Pal does not store sensitive personal data.

Data Retention and Deletion
Store data required for app functionality is retained while the app is installed. When Discount Pal is uninstalled, relevant store information is deleted from our database. You may request manual data deletion at any time by contacting us. Requests can be sent to: support@discountpal.app

Children’s Privacy
Discount Pal is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Global Privacy Rights
We aim to respect privacy rights globally and comply with applicable privacy laws where reasonable. You may request, access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data. Requests can be made by emailing: support@discountpal.app
